(an article from the Philippine Daily Inquirer)
The Filipino kid in that article is so lucky that he got to be visibly featured in The Bourne Legacy / bask in the prescence of Jeremy Renner, Rachel Weisz and Tony Gilroy.. and visit Palawan!
There were a lot of extras and so many takes that they did. Even my mom and our friends were extras for The Bourne Legacy. Lol, my mom tried to see if she made it in the film.
Unfortunately, I also personally know that probably a lot of the money was pocketed by the certain Filipino producers / Filipino companies who were suppose to pay the Filipino extras for their work.
I know on one occasion that the Filipino extras were denied food and water to drink in the hot conditions of The Bourne Legacy Manila streets filming.
It really sucks how certain Filipinos are still corrupt even when a film company gives them the funding to help out the less fortunate for the work they contributed to The Bourne Legacy.
My reaction when I finally saw the street corner scene (that we had seen upclose being filmed, when we talked and met Jeremy Renner and Rachel Weisz) actually featured in The Bourne Legacy movie…
